Wow this week was crazy!

I didn´t like this fruit very much, it is called cajú, the juice is good but the fruit I didn´t like much
me and my companion went to the airport to go and
drop off an elder that went home early, It was crazy

Wow this week was crazy! So one of great friends from our zone went home this last week a member came to pick him up at 4:00 and his plane was leaving at 9:00. When he got to the mission home at about 5:30 they called me telling me that his passport was in our house!!! We were super far away, so we ran to our house and ran to get the train. We met him and helped him with his suitcases to run to the airport. We got there at like 8:15. luckily they let him on. It was super crazy going to the air port, I didn't like it, it made going home here in 4 months feel a lot more real! AHHH, normal life is so hard to picture!

So there was another elder that was having some problems with a girl on the mission so it looks like I get to baby sit again...yeah...but I think God is teaching me a lot of patience.

Julia and her family

Silvestre

domingo tivemos mais 2 batismos de julia e
This week was super great for us Julia, is a daughter of 2 less active members. I love their family so much, they are so cool. Their dad loves hunting and guns so we decided that he will come to the US to go hunting with me some day! Silvestre is a guy, that has been going to church for a while now. that we have been teaching and this Sunday was his baptism. He was always kinda sad before but after his baptism we visited him and he was a new person!

Sabado tivemos o Batismo de Alifer e Jackie

It is amazing how a simple ordnance with the Lord makes such big changes in the lives of others. It has been a huge testimony builder to see how much the things of the lord effect our lives and also if we avoid things of the Lord how much people suffer! We always have to re-remind ourselves of the promises that we made with the Lord so that he will be able to bless us!

So yup that´s all I have for today, love you all and remember the lord can only bless you when you keep the promises you have made with him!

try and be a miracle in the life of others

So today we went bowling, yes mom I took a bunch of photos but I am not able to send them using this computer, this computer is dumb and doesn't accept usb.

This last week was pretty cool we have been trying to serve a bunch of other people because of a promise that is in the book of Alma chapter 41 that says

15 For that which ye do send out shall return unto you again, and be restored; therefore, the word restoration more fully condemneth the   sinner, and justifieth him not at all.

So pretty much that scripture rocks! So if we do good things, good things will happen to us or if we are miracles in the life of others we will also have miracles. This last week every opportunity we had we would serve people, we shoveled sand we carried a ton of rocks and bricks, we made cement and now my back is broken but I can now testify that this scripture is true. We have had a lot of miracles happen this last week of investigators that weren't progressing a ton that now are doing great! We even had a member call us today and invite us to teach a friend of hers with us! So that is a pretty freaking cool promise, if you want to be helped you have to help others. If you are needing a miracle look first to be a miracle for someone else then your miracle will come.

Well sorry I don´t have much to say today but love you all and try and be a miracle in the life of others so that you can have more miracles in your life!

I can build a foundation

After Skyping on Mother´s day, I don´t really have much to say.

Um so I am kinda freaking out because that was my last Skype! When I think about one day going home it is super strange!!! I can´t picture normal life anymore! It´s so much better to be a missionary because it feels like you have a life without temptation. I think it is because on the mission we only do stuff that relates to God so the spirit can help us a lot more! I never want this feeling to leave! The best part about the mission is that you really get to know our Savior. Not just to learn about him but to be him! To walk where he walked to do a little that he did, to feel a little bit of the suffering that he felt, because of this the mission is amazing! It isn´t easy but it is a lot easier then life outside of the mission because here we have people watching after us, after, we are alone.

This is why I have to do all that I can do give all that I can give so that I can build a foundation so that when the "devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon me, it shall have no power over me to drag me down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which I am built, Which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if we build we cannot fall" (Helaman 5:12). The church is true, the mission is amazing, and when we are obedient we can receive anything that we ask of God.

So this week was awesome!

So this week was awesome! First off I got a new companion and his name is Elder Barros, He is from Cabo Verde. He is super cool! He is 23 years old and has a family of like 14! He is the only member of the church in his whole family! He was baptized alone when he was 13 and is still in the church! I imagine that it must be super hard for him!

So this last week was cool, yesterday all of the teens that I baptized here went up at the front and bore their testimonies! It was super spiritual! I may or may not have cried a little... It makes me so happy they all said how they want to also serve a mission to help others the same way that they were helped!

So crazy awesome story that happened this last week. So there is this school at night that a group of boys were outside with their band performing their rap that they did and I told my companion let´s go talk to them. So we went! It was a blast after they finished their song they called us to the front and said these are our friends from the church they come all the way from the united states to help us all! They gave us a little time to talk to them and they passed all of their addresses. Who knows maybe nothing will happen because of that but I feel that it was good to do because now they all respect us and always are saying hi to us on the street. They need to move their life style a little before they get baptized but who knows if now one day they will remember and want to go to church. It was super funny though, my companion was super embarrassed but it was super cool I felt like I was giving a sermon to a whole audience! We found a family of 9 and another of 4 because of that craziness!

Today at 7:30 we have marked to go and teach a pastor!!! I hope it goes well! I have always wanted to convert a pastor! I am going to have to rely on the spirit because my knowledge of the bible isn´t super great...

Well that´s all I have for now but I love you all and remember to always be ready to share the gospel for everyone not just who isn´t a member but also normal members to help their testimony!

LîVE

So first off my brother told me that there is this program on the mission that I have to do that when i have 6 months left i have to start called "6 months to sexy". So Riley I have a doubt this is for people who aren't sexy to get sexy in 6 months but what do I do because I am already sexy, do I still have to do it? Just kidding I know I am on a mission and I have grown up a lot but I still like to joke around, the good thing that I learned on the mission is how to joke.
Hey mom so you might get a little sad but the LAN house that I went to today doesn´t let you send pictures and the guy here is super annoying but don´t worry I will send them this next week!

So this week was super duper great! We have been working with Luan for 3 weeks now, he is 16 years old and his parents are atheist and didn't want to let him get baptized but on Saturday he called us and told us that his parents would let him so we went and his mom signed the permission slip and Saturday night he was baptized! It was super special. All of our other recent converts that have been helping him went as well and they shared their testimonies and it was super cool! On Sunday we had stake conference and it was super far away and they all went alone!!! They were also all using a white shirt and tie! It makes me so happy to see how God moves the life of others!

Also there is a Haitian that has been going to church and being taught for a long time and he was baptized on Sunday after the conference with 9 other people from other wards in our zone!!! He is super cool. he was able to understand how repentance works and finally accepted it in his life!

I am getting nervous because I feel like my mission is running out and I haven´t done everything I need yet!

Remember every member should be a missionary, if we all did that in little time the church would double in number of members that will be saved and have a chance for exaltation!

tudo acontece na missão

This last week ROCKED!

We have been working with this family that has a couple members that aren't baptized since we got here and this last week one of the daughters were baptized! In this family her dad was raised in the church but then stopped going but never stopped believing in the church. Their kids asked about the church and he stopped the missionaries this last transfer. This week we will go to the cartorio to mark the marriage of the mom and dad of this family!!! I am super excited. They are the coolest people in this ward!
batismo de Mirella!

This last week the bishops wife invited us to her house because she teaches an English class and we did an American night! I made American pancakes and then talked a little in English but it was a little embarrassing because my English isn't very good anymore. It was super good and the bishop's wife is super great! She had already talked about the Church to her students, so they asked a bunch about the church and they told us to go to their houses to teach them a little more!

We are teaching this Haitian guy that is super cool! He is teaching me French and I am teaching him about the gospel! He has been going to church for a super long time but he doesn't feel worthy to be baptized because he has a wife in Haiti and kissed a girl here in Brazil. They are such honest people! We are trying to help him to feel repented so that he can receive the fullness of the gospel being baptized!

We are also teaching a teenager named Luan that is super cool! He wants to be baptized so bad but his parents don´t want to let him. He is 16 years old and his parents are atheist so they don´t want to let him be baptized but we are working on them, but it is hard because they usually don´t every want to even talk to us! It will all work out though, he said he will keep on going to church without being baptized and just get baptized when he is 18 years old, we want to help him faster then that though.

We have a pool table at our house and today we played a bunch it was pretty fun!

well that´s all I have for this week love you all!

It´s hard to think of a good subject for my email...

our zone rocks!!!
Yeah! This last week was awesome!!!

Our zone, here in Barueri, decided that we should do a huge baptism together and it worked! This week was super crazy though we were running all over the place doing interviews!!!
batismo
We had one person that wasn't able to make it on Saturday to the baptism so he was baptized on Sunday morning. His name is Jefferson, he always went to church in jeans and a t-shirt but after his baptism he went to conference with a white shirt and tie!!! It is amazing how the small and simple things change people so fast!
Jefferson!
This area is super cool. The members have had a lot of problems with past missionaries so it is a little hard to have their trust but we are gaining it slowly and they are starting to help us a lot more. The bishop here is super cool, he is quiet but you can tell he just likes to be included which hasn't happened for a while. We are working a bunch with the recent converts and they are passing a ton of referrals!
We made a huge friendship with our house owner and because of that he and his wife came and cleaned our entire house!!! I have never seen such a clean house in my whole life!!! I love him, he also made us dinner the other day. He is the coolest guy ever, we found out that he is a less active member which surprised us a bunch. We will re-activate him. He said he hated the other elders that passed before us and he didn't even talk to them.

It is going super great with my comp, I like him a lot! It feels like this transfer passed super fast the last day is dia 26!

Well love you all and try and find someone good that isn't a member yet to pass on to the missionaries!
